VisionTek DisplayPort to HDMI Active Adapter (M/F) - 900637

I'm impressed with the speed that I received my order. The quality is great. Bought this to work with a new computer. Needed a DP to HDMI adaptor because I couldn't get the HDMI port to work on my RTX 3070TI video card & Epson projector. I returned the adaptor because I thought it wasn't compatible with the card, but with further troubleshooting, I learned my HDMI cable was the problem - NOT - this adaptor. By then though I had already returned the product. I would recommend this adaptor.

I am using an IOGear HDMI KVM switch to switch between two work laptops, a personal laptop, and a desktop. One of the work laptops is an older HP with only DisplayPort output. Before I bought this unit, I was using a passive DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter, which caused the HP laptop screen to drop out and back on every few minutes. I had to plug the HP laptop into a second input on the monitor and switch from there which defeated the whole purpose of the KVM. Using this active DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter allows me to finally use my KVM as intended. This is wonderful since I need to switch between different systems multiple times a day. I'm very glad that I found this well-made active adapter.

This active adapter worked when other active adapters did not. I'm using it on a GTX 1050ti to supply video to two @ 2560x1080 displays via an active HDMI splitter. This is in addition to three 1920x1080 displays in surround. Also, if you're into multi monitors and you just can't figure out why you might be losing signal briefly to one or more of your monitors -AND you have an active adapter on your system (but everything else works): you might be losing sync. This adapter fixed that for me too. The time I fought with that... the hair pulling.... the driver updates and re-installs.... wow. hopefully this will help someone out there.

After looking at tons of hdmi to display port adapters, none of them would push a high resolution. I literally almost gave up after buying another one with no luck of pushing 2560x1080. I found this one on a forum of other people trying to push a high resolution and this thing works awesome. It's a little pricey but it works great and now both of my monitors display 2560x1080. I would recommend it for pushing 4K to and don't worry about having to cipher through tons of product descriptions to see if another adapter will push a high resolution this one does the job.

very impressive; this worked fairly well, even after using it in another adapter (a USB 3.0 to 4k Display port legacy adapter).
