ViewSonic 15.6 Inch 1080p Portable OLED Monitor with 2 Way Powered 60W USB C, Pantone Validated, Factory Calibrated, Built in Ergonomic Stand with Protective Cover (VP16-OLED), Black

I’ve only been using this monitor for a couple of days so granted it holds up and doesn’t develop any issues, this review will stand. This is probably the best 60hz monitor of this size I’ve ever used. The colors are vibrant and accurate. The menu is easy to navigate. It’s super lightweight but also solid in build quality. It’s a 10/10. If viewsonic ever decides to make another one of these @ 120hz with gsync support, I will happily pick that one up too. Right now I’m using this for gaming for my desktop while I wait for new 240hz OLEDs to release next year. After that I’ll use it specifically for video color work. The color is accurate enough that I’d use it for professional work. It’s not as accurate as a professional color monitor but it’s also 320 dollars, not 10,000 dollars. I’d recommend this for anyone who is okay with 60hz. If you have a beefy graphics card, NVidia DSR looks phenomenal here and you’ll have a hard time distinguishing between this with DSR vs native 4k at this small of a size.

I have multiple portable monitors. I have been disappointed in brightness and the "set up." By that I mean a lot of the way the portable monitors stand up are flimsy and difficult to maneuver. The stand on this one is the bomb!!! The color and brightness on this is the bomb. I don't game, so I haven't really looked at refresh rates, since I primarily use this for work when I travel, or when I just want to sit out on the patio with 2 screens. I actually bought this one for my husband because the perfect monitor we purchased for him is just not bright enough. I will be replacing my current portable monitor with another one of these. There are only a couple of things that could be improved: 1) touchscreen - but I don't know if that is possible with oled 2) I could do without the "hood", so I actually just snipped that part off to make it only a magnetic cover for protection when traveling. Otherwise, it is a wonderful portable monitor.

Easier to point out what isn't excellent here. -1080p: As I was comparing it with an equally sized and overkill 4k monitor, there are some elements that are a little unsharp. 2k would have been perfect, and I'd have paid more for it. (If usb-c power permitted I suppose) -The stand is wobbly and the monitor will move if whatever surface it's on is bumped. -The preset profiles are a tad desaturated for my taste, and you can't alter that setting without making a "user" profile from scratch. And that's it, everything unlisted is as good as you could possibly want from a one-cable portable oled.

The screen itself is amazing - I'd say, better than most OLED laptop screens. I think it's better than the OLED on the Dell XPS13 as well as the I have a Dell and Lenovo Yoga 9i. It's on par with the Samsung Tab OLEDs, which are my favourite screens in this size range. The brightness (and obviously, contrast) is amazing. I'm not sure why Amazon wants me to rate the touch screen, since there isn't one :) I have some design quibbles, though. The bottom lip is really large, and the "Viewsonic" label on it is a bit obnoxiously prominent. The folding stand is pretty good; in my opinion, better than Asus ones, with the magnetic folding sleeve). However, I find the controls in the wrong place, since you can't access them, if you fold so that isn't elevated. Also, in portrait mode, you're pretty limited in the angles you can use it at. I do not like that you can't attach it to a stand/tripod (as presented) without using a supplied adapter nut that protrudes from the bottom. Also, there is no possibility for putting this on a VESA or other mount.

Using it alone side of my laptop as an external monitor. My Acer Concept D5 4k laptop monitor comes w/o any screen tuning software. The external monitor comes with nice preset available w/o any software—you can access them from the build in screen’s menu. Plus, ViewSonic provides some software for advanced settings. All that helps with alining color profile of laptop’s screen and the external monitor. It’s an OLED monitor. The only downside (besides the price) I could notice—the overall resolution. By looking at the 1k and 4k screens next to each other you can tell a huge difference. For such price it should be 2k quality.
