The Vertiv Avocent LongView 5500 (LV5500) and 5520 (LV5520) High-Performance KVM Extender is the latest in the Avocent high-performance KVM family of products. The Vertiv Avocent LV5500 and LV5520 are point-to-point high performance KVM extenders that provide 24-bit color graphics over a single head or dual head up to 4K@60Hz. Along with providing real-time access, local port pass through, and HD analog audio, the LV5500 provides an effortless and automatic connection for up to two users, local and remote, over the IP network without the need for extensive manual setup. Increase business security with signed upgrade files and firmware updates from a single USB flash drive. The LV5500 and LV5520 are ideal for broadcasting, control centers, and other industries requiring high performance, 4K video.
This includes:
* USB 2.0 COMPATIBILITY: Improve productivity and functionality by taking advantage of forward and backward capability with the transparent, hi-speed USB 2.0 ports by connecting to tablets, joysticks, webcams, printers, and more.
* FIBER OR COPPER OPTION: Connect the transmitter and receiver with only a single fiber or copper cable. Expand the range and bandwidth of the KVM extender up to 4km with the fiber cable option.
* 4K @60 Hz: New technology auto-adjusts to deliver high quality video up to 4K/ 60 on both single and dual head extenders.
* LOCAL PORT PASS THROUGH: For Single Head devices, allows up to two users, local and remote, simultaneous access to the same machine.
* TRUE EMULATION: For Dual Head devices, USB 2.0 device emulation ensures the computer will boot without the RX connected and allows dual PC operations.
