Verbatim Wireless Mini Travel Mouse, Commuter Series - Blue 70705

This mouse is the right size for travel and easy to operate. There are 2 big drawbacks to it however: 1. No Off Switch which will seriously impact the battery life. 2. It's not easy to change the battery. Pressing and holding the button on the bottom of the mouse and then lifting the edge by the Verbatim name is more cumbersome. I previously had the other Verbatim Mini Optical Travel Mouse (has a shiny finish to it) but decided to buy this mouse as it was a few dollars cheaper. I wish I would have spent the few extra dollars! The other Verbatim Travel Mouse has an Off Switch and to replace the battery you only have to slide the bottom panel (located on the top of the mouse) off. I would love to send this mouse back and get the other mouse, but I am not sure if I can since I opened the package.

Muy buen tamaño, lo malo es que consume batería más rápido que otros mouse, estaría bueno tener el botón de agradado. Ya que si lo metes a la mochila el láser se queda prendido todo el camino.

I'll get something else. < Update Jan 17, 2022: I replaced it with "Verbatim 2.4G Wireless Mini Travel Optical Mouse with Nano Receiver for Mac and PC - Blue" (Type B004DI7DGO in the Amazon search bar.) , a model I've purchased and lost twice before. > I like the size of this mouse. It's three inches long and two inches wide. For a future enhancement, I hope Verbatim gets the length down to 2.75 inches. I've owned several Verbatim small mice over the years and a few larger ones. Also several Logitech and also Microsoft and a couple of touchpads and probably a few others I don't remember. Verbatim mice were always reliable and easy to use. You know how it goes: You forget and leave one in a hotel, or something. My girlfriend "borrowed" my last one. This one, though, has too many things wrong with it. (1) Getting it out of the packaging involved hacking through that hard plastic that you fear will bend the scissors or cut you. Plastic harms the fish and the ducks and maybe us, so isn't cardboard and paper better for packaging mice? (2a) To put the battery in, I had to push on a little button (too small for my fingers) while lifting the tail of the mouse which kept slipping out of my grasp. I finally snuck a fingernail in there and got some leverage while reaching my left middle finger around and under my right pinky which was holding down the button, a performance I wondered whether I could repeat. (2b) Then the cover seemed stuck, but on closer observation, there were these two hooks on either side of the housing that would rotate out, so that the back would fall off onto the floor or somewhere. (2c) I inserted the battery without difficulty, and tried the receiver in its slot just to experience how it goes, and the receiver took 4 or 5 attempts. Then I removed it so I could use it. (2d) getting the cover back on proved easier than getting it off, but you have to maneuver both hooks simultaneously, then press down on the cover hoping you don't break something. (3) The block inside the male usb plug of the receiver was larger than the receiving female sockets of the usb hub and the computer housing expected, so it fit tightly, with difficulty. (4) the scrolling wheel seems not to work at all.
