These are the best

These are DataLifePlus disks, which are my standard. I have used these by the hundreds for many years. Using an ordinary computer disk burner, I've never had a bad burn. I've never had any data loss or detectable deterioration in years of storage. I tested a bunch of them, leaving them in strong sun in my car over the summer. I couldn't detect any deterioration or data loss. They take inkjet printing well. These disks, which you can get in boxes of 100, offer slower recording speed than some other DataLifePlus disks from Verbatim. Otherwise I'm not aware of any difference.

White covering on the disc is perfect for printing.

I use these discs to write disc information on them. The standard disc by Verbatim has less usable space. Also the disc quality is excellent. I have not had any disc degrade over time.

Degrade rapidly over time with recorded sound replaced by static

Absolute junk. I initially recorded about 75 min on these 80 min CDs, within about a year sound degraded to static rendering the CDs un-listenable starting at about 68-70 min. I re-recorded all these (about 60 CDs, this happened on every one so it wasn’t just the odd poor quality CD) this time cutting them short at about 60-62 minutes. Another year gone by, static now starts about 53-55 min rendering them un- listenable at this point, yet again. I’m not going to waste any more time with re-recording, unfortunate because I naively bought 4 spindles thinking they were a good deal and now I have all this junk to deal with, but life is too short to throw more time after this project. At what point in time will these alleged 80 min CDs diminish to zero listenable minutes? Spend more money on real and reputable CDs, which is what I have ended up doing…two other brands, only a bit more expensive, are absolutely fine…and save yourself lots of time and grief and stay away from these. I really don’t know how this brand stays in business, but I guess they count on suckers like me.
