Vantec NBA-200U USB External 7.1 Channel Audio Adapter (Black)

My 7.0 speaker system had problems with interference due to one of them being connected via the headphone port, which caused interference. I decided to get this sound card to fix the problem as the usb connection has minimal interference. It handles a 7.0 surround system well and works entirely. It is also significantly more powerful than the onboard audio ports on my computer.

Denon AVR 790 receiver year 2009. I hooked the NBA 200U into the DVR optical input on my receiver and was able to get more than decent surround without playing with any computer files. It's still not the quality of the ASUS Xonar Essence and HDAV cards I've been using for more than 12 years on my old computer but I'm satisfied for now, especially for the price.

I love this product it is the second one I have bought the first one lasted 3 years and it was used DAILY and I just plug it into my laptop and listen to AMAZON MUSIC daily and play it through my KICK ASS AMP VERY PLEASED and will buy it AGAIN ROCK ON

I got my Razer Tiamat 7.1 v2 on a big discount but didn't know how I can use them on a laptop setup since it needs 5 3.5mm jacks to function properly, that's where this device came in clutch. Works well, just needed to get the drivers from the official site since I don't have a CD drive on the laptop. Software looks very old but works well regardless.

Really true plug & play with Windows 10, BUT headphones were not working. I contacted the support and in less then a hour, I received a reply containing a driver for the chip set C-Media CM6206 to install and after a reboot of the PC, ALL is working fine. Quality of the audio is really great for the price, won't find better. I'll give A+ for the support I had from Vantec, great company! I'll have to remove one star because the audio of the speakers doesn't cut when we insert a headphones jack, so I need to get up and turn off the speakers manually I usually keep permanently at On. It's not an issue with the product itself but a limitation of the chip set they use in this product. Wish a firmware update somehow could fix it eventually.
