I use it to watch my animals and i used a 12 volt to USB C adapter connected to a battery. I can now check on my animals anytime. I would have bought a 30 watt solar panel but it was cheaper to buy 100 watt and just have extra power that i can use later to add a bigger battery with.

I have a Unifi system, but to this point have not used it much because it required me to string ethernet cabling to wherever I wanted to install the camera. That's not easy or even possible in some of the locations I need cameras, so Unifi was out of the question. So when I saw these I had to try them out, and they are absolutely great! A camera with battery power would have been even better, but you can use a USB power bank to run these if needed. I have a 20000 bank from Anker, and it will run this camera for 2 full days recording 24x7. But powered is better and less to think about. Great camera!

Got this to tie into my current Unifi system. Using it wall mounted in my living room and it works great. Have it configured with automations in my Home Assistant to automatically apply privacy and recording settings based on if we are home or away. Only thing I found strange, is I had to manually create an automation in Home Assistant to turn the status light on and off based on if the camera was recording or not, I couldn't seem to find an option for this in the Unifi software. We will be buying a second one of these to use as a baby monitor in the near future.

The quality is great, they work as they should, which is surprising in this day and age as it seems. I have included them in a smart home and they just work as they should. Also happy with the recording quality, although audio output is rather horrible. Not a problem for a security camera, so I'm not reducing my rating.

I got this camera for a driveway gate. For this camera to work, you must have power, wifi, and use the Ubiquiti camera cloud key for optimal results. I connected my camera to a non Ubiquiti router, (an Asus Mesh) but run the Cloud Key off of a switch hooked into the accessory LAN of the router. The setup was a breeze. The camera immediately used the Wifi to complete the connection. The Cloud key recognized the camera and updated the software and installed the system. For those who are curious, the camera is 350 feet from the Mesh router. It does pick up the signal. I found that a Ubiquiti AC Mesh Pro had less range than the Asus Mesh.
