this switch is not a real layer 3 in order to run it in layer 3 it requires you to have a UDM from Ubiquiti. some other brands do not need this extra layer of hardware! this is marketed incorrectly it is a layer 2 if you do NOT have a UDM/Gateway from Ubiquiti. My setup: Gateway/Firewall = pfSense Switch = Ubiquiti USW Pro Max 16 I do not understand why this is called a layer 3 switch when in fact it is NOT that. I am very disappointed with this purchase.

Nice neat package with as expected Ubiquiti quality feel, however this switch has two problems. 1. It is not a rack mount switch, is is not 19" and does not come with ears that make up the gap. 2. It does not use standard IEC power connector, but instead has an external power brick like a laptop with a USB C connector. Why not make it a 19" size, then there would be space inside the unit for the power supply.

Needs a redesign to be full 19" width and built-in PSU with standard C13/C14 plug. I don't need extra power converters cluttering my rack space, I need compatibility with standardized power solutions. You can't market this as "pro" hardware unless it's compatible with standard rack mount hardware out of the box.
