Works like a champ. Though, I have to admit, I never knew so many critters visited my porch! Rabbits, squirrels, birds, cats, foxes...

The setup was extremely easy, already having a dream machine pro, wi fi 6, and several hubs throughout my home network adoption was quick and easy after installing 16 Volt transformer to make certain I was providing adequate power everything went smoothly, adoption was quick, adding drive to the dream machine pro to store all of my detections as well as continuous high quality video of everything happening outside my front door, this is by far a superior product to All of the other doorbells that I have tried in the past. Only issue I'm having is for some reason I'm unable to figure out how to get my mechanical doorbell to actually ring, i've watched several videos, looked over multiple diagrams for the wiring, i've even gone so far as to tone out which side of my doorbell wiring is which and still I'm unable to figure out how to make the mechanical chime tone and I am using their little 4 lead dongle that came in the packaging. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information specifically describing how to make your mechanical chime work, that's why I'm only giving this a 4 out of five stars, other than that I'm extremely pleased with everything else, and it's cool to see that I can actually stream the video from my doorbell directly to youtube if I wanted to

One of the reasons I got this doorbell was that I don't have to pay to access my recordings and I already have an Unifi NVR. Overall the picture quality is excellent and the AI detection works well. The additional package camera seems to detect about half the packages I get and has had some issues, but overall works well. Installation was easy and I had no major issues with the install. My existing transformer worked well and I didn't need to upgrade it. I like the screen on this doorbell too where you can put images or phrases for people (like to leave packages, or wish them a Happy Valentines day, the choice is up to you.

The build and video quality, with wide lens and package view is a significant improvement over its competitors. Install was pretty straightforward except that the dongle which came with the G4 did not work for me, and I ended up using the chime adapter/dongle from the previous nest doorbell I had. This was actually frustrating until I figured out the Ubiquiti dongle was the issue and doorbell was not receiving enough power. Otherwise if you're already in the ubiquiti ecosystem, this doorbell upgrade is a no brainer.

We had to update every camera we had in order for this to work (it kept saying “camera off line”), and we had to reboot the entire system… After all that, it works great so far (only had it 3 days)… The quality of the pic is great, and I love the lower part to see packages…
