Nice fit, but this is to be expected since I installed in a Tripp Lite cabinet. But I was impressed with how sturdy the shelf is even though there's no support on the rear of the shelf...just at the ears where the rack nuts fasten. Overall, a good quality shelf.

Very sturdy indeed and pretty heavy as well. One thing I wish I would've thought about -- I use this shelf for two modems, so there are several cables that come out of the back of those devices. From there, the cables hang down off the back of the shelf and go to wherever they need to go to. But there is a bit of a sharp metal edge at the back of this rack that the cables rest on. It isn't "sharp" - but it's just a thin piece of metal that points straight up. For people who are really concerned about taking care of their cables, they may want to consider something else before using this shelf. Other than that, this thing is great!

It fit into my standard size rack perfectly. It feels solid and holds up an XBox 360 with plenty of room for airflow around the sides. The option to mount it "upside down" was perfect for me as it made for a nice "shelf" with no lip on the front to block access to equipment. Looks nice too with a matte black finish. Doesn't look cheap.
