Tripp Lite Hdmi To Composite Video Adapter Converter W/ Audio F/3xf

I’m using two of these from a roku to 2-channel integrated amps. This device is 50 percent to double other extractors. I have had issues with other extractors so I thought let’s get this by a reputable high quality mfg and not mess around with going through multiple cheap extractors. I like to stream Amazon music hd from a roku so I can display album art. It sounds as good as a my bluesound. Picture looks the same as a direct hdmi connection. I can also flip between hdmi soundbar and 2 channel system as both systems play at sound at same time. This one is a winner. Edit: So now you can stream Amazon HD via newer Fire Stick. So I tried using this device with the firestick to send optical out to a receiver. I am showing album art on another tv, not main tv. If found that in order to get lossless audio you need to select the 5.1 channel ouput despite the fact that I am sending 2 channel data. When on 2 channel this device appears to downgrade the qaulity as verified with Yamaha app. The app shows 192 khz for a test UHD track. with 5.1 on. When 2 channel is selcted it shows 48 khz.. Not srure why is downgrading the signal with 2 channel, maybe for legacy equipment.

My Sony UBP-X800 only output 44.1kHz over its coaxial output for SACD after a firmware "upgrade". Online searches suggested it still had 176.4kHz PCM over HDMI, but that an HDMI de-embedder was required to access it. I noticed Patrick Vehling's review for the Kanex HAECOAX de-embedder; he reported that it had worked with the same Sony player, and the settings required. But that one was selling for $79 and this one was less than $50. This Tripp Lite looked identical, so I took a chance. It worked the way Vehling described. I have mine connected to the coaxial input of a Loxjie A30, and it showed the 176.4kHz sample rate. Finally, I note that there's an Amazon Basics HDMI Extractor Converter that looks identical; it wasn't available when I ordered or I would have gotten that. It's presently $18.48 but only one available (used, future availability uncertain) and doesn't include a power supply (just a usb cable). Tempted to return this and get that.

After 5 months adapter is working flawlessly with my XBOX One and DisplayPort monitor.
