Good stuff

Spent more for this unit over the el cheapos because all the cheap ones use non-spec-conformant USB male A to A cables. And while that probably doesn't really matter - why would they do that? I took specification compliance as an indicator of quality, and so far this unit has performed flawlessly.

No lag, instant PC recognition, solid buttons

After ordering the Rybozen 4 port USB switch for $20, this is a dream. This switch worked immediately when connected, there is zero hesitation when switching between systems, and it works great with my Anker 4 port USB hub. The buttons give a solid feedback click, and the lights are handy to identify which system is selected, although they bleed into each other a bit if you're not looking straight on at the switch. This is a great middleground USB switch that's much better than the cheap-o's and works great if you don't video or lots of peripherals hooked up. The Rybozen lagged heavily in switching back and forth with the PC having to reinstall a driver each time for some reason, and one of the out ports was faulty. Also learned that in most cases, the USB-A to USB-A is out of spec and an electrical fire hazard, so that's fun.

UPDATE == BROKE == Works flawlessly but no cables included

September 2022 Item stopped working and had to be replaced with different device. Rather short lifetime. ==== March 2022 Works flawlessly to switch docking station between work and personal laptop. Good price BUT cables not included so I had to purchase separately. Otherwise 5 stars.
