TRENDnet 10-Port Gigabit PoE web smart switch

This is not for a novice or someone unfamiliar with networking. You can learn how to use it but be warned, there is very little documentation on this product and the manual is not that helpful. However when you get it up and running this thing is a beast. Handles Vlans and voip also multicast if you need it. For basic network just plug it in and plug in devices and voila your up and running. But this thing is packed with features!

Most un-smart switch I've ever used

Had this "Smart Switch" setup for about 2 months now and it seems this switch likes to randomly drop ALL connections made through, for no reason at all and with no changes having been made to the network. Don't even waste your time trying to get the Link Aggregation working correctly either as that just made the random connection drops more frequent. I have this switch mounted in to a rack with plenty of cooling so it's not over heating and every wired connection has brand new CAT6A cable including through the walls. Don't waste your money like I did, this "smart switch" is pretty much useless seeing as it's so unreliable, spend a bit more and get something that will actually do the job it was made for.

Poe switch performed as described, port thinking takes some configuring but I got it to work.

This is a great product if you need the information a managed switch gives you with out all the bells and whistles that a Cisco switch gives you.

The product does not work on anything other then Microsoft Explorer.
