Disclaimer:I got it for $209, so my 5+ stars rating is considering this price, not the price I see right now which is $334 or even $350+. I only have a 1 Gbyte/s USB port and this disk provides read speeds of 1 Gbyte/s for large files, always. As the disk fills up, the write speed drops to ~700+ Mb/s, which is still great for $209 that I paid, but not sure if it's that great for $330+. Normally, the more expensive drives have TLC NAND memory, SLC & DRAM caches. This one does use TLC memory and has (p?)SLC & DRAM cache, that's why it can sustain good write speeds of 700+ Mb/s even as it fills up. However, in the price range of $300 other drives may also have all these caches and provide high speeds. TL;DR: I'm absolutely happy I got it for $209. Not sure if I was equally happy if I paid the full current price of $330-350+ as the competitors in this price range can also provide very high speeds.

This took only minutes instead of hours to copy all images from my cellphone and I bought one for everyone in my house. I stopped paying for large capacity cloud services each month for each phone.

たまっていた写真や動画を保存したくて購入しました。説明書もないのでiPhoneに繋げてもどうやって保存するのか認識してるかわからず使えるまで時間かかりましたが、特にアプリも不要でファイル→ブラウズでSSDが表示されるので写真を選んでオリジナルを書き出しダウンロードしてSSDを選択して保存すれば完了です。 アプリはクラウド、写真はSSDとバックアップ管理ができるようになりました。 読み書きは体感ですがストレスない速度です。 buffaloなどより安価ていいです。見た目はケースはプラスチックで軽いのでチープです。

I bought this drive as a redundant backup of my system and extraneous files, and to replace 500gb WD SSD which is about 10 years old and filled to capacity. This new drive is much smaller than the one it's replacing measuring 3" x 2.25". I've had it about 6 mos with no problems. We'll see how how it holds up in the future.

It worked great for a day, now it won't show up when you plug It into the PC or the MacBook
