For the past 10 years I thought TP-link was a budget brand router company but I was wrong. I originally bought the Velop system from Linksys and it was lackluster and the app was clumsy. Decided to try TP-Links WiFi 7 mesh system. Well I rarely write reviews so that should show how impressed I am. Pros - Easy setup - Excellent switching between nodes. When I walk from room to room I can see my iPhone switch immediately. This was a big issue with Linksys. I had to toggle my WiFi to get it to switch. - Allows me to keep all my devices organized to satisfy my ocd side. - IOT devices on a separate network is pretty cool. - App is super intuitive and doesn’t lag - Coverage and speed is as advertised Cons - Pricey - Some of my iot devices, mainly light bulbs, seem to take a few extra seconds to respond. That might be something I configured wrong though. - I’m a web designer so this bugs me more than it probably does most people but they have an error in their form fields with how white space is treated. Very small grip but thought I’d mention it here so they can correct it. Also, opening the box makes me feel like I’m opening up an expensive bottle of whiskey lol. Cool but unnecessary.

Returned it coz of its unstability. Maybe in the future they will fix this but i am not gonna use a $1300 unstable router

Pros Very easy to setup Ethernet ports available to use even in extender mode Anaheim advanced customization settings Dead quiet Nice looking Cons Advanced features require a subscription which should be included at this price Notes It will disconnect often and cause all kinds of havoc if you increase the width of the 5ghz channel. Turning this off resolves all the issues but the system should be able to notice this on its own and recommend it (I would run the wifi interference scan and the unit would identify congestion and change channels which didn’t help but it never recommended reducing the lanes) Request I would sacrifice a port to include MOCA for homes without ethernet to improve the range options for the units from each other. Mine are line of sight 20’ apart with 6ghz dedicated to back haul so I have no issues but if you’re trying to push through walls using 6ghz you will encounter huge speed drops.

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the TP-LINK BE85 WiFi 7 mesh system, and it was an absolute nightmare. The instability of this product is mind-boggling. It constantly drops connections, making it nearly impossible to use for anything beyond sending an email or two. To make matters even worse, their customer service is a complete disaster. I reached out for assistance with the connectivity issues, and it was like talking to a brick wall. They were unhelpful, unresponsive, and seemed to have no knowledge of their own product. It's as if they just didn't care about their customers at all. As for the hardware itself, it's nothing but complete junk. The build quality is poor, and it feels like it could fall apart at any moment. The range and speed of the WiFi signal are abysmal, and it struggles to cover even a small area effectively. Save yourself the frustration and avoid the TP-LINK BE85 WiFi 7 mesh system at all costs. It's a terrible product with terrible customer support, and you'd be better off investing your money in a more reliable and reputable brand.
