Great Router but Not the Best for Wireless Power

I am giving this router 4 stars because it works for my needs, however if this is your only wireless AP, I would look to the Deco mesh devices. In my use case I needed the two USB ports, otherwise I would have just gone with 2 of the Deco XE75 (AXE5400). My configuration is as follows: 1gb Fiber Connection plugged into the AXE95 Archer AXE95 as the main router with two large USB storage devices attached, one for backups and the other for media streaming. 1 Archer XE75 Deco using ethernet backhaul upstairs on the opposite side of my house configured as an Access Point. The Deco is plugged into a tplink 5 port GB switch. The ethernet backhaul was accomplished using Screenbeam Moca devices over existing coax cable for my satellite TV which is no longer used. These things are awesome! My wireless network is split into 4 separate SSIDS: 6ghz using the WiFi 6e band for high speed wireless devices such as our newest tablets, phones, laptop, etc. Another SSID using the 5ghz band for high speed devices that can't use the 6ghz band (older tablets, Chromecast, etc) 2.4ghz network for IoT devices such as our security cameras, doorbell, door locks, lights, oven, etc. 2.4 and 5ghz for a separate Guest network The performance and range of the AXE95 is not nearly as good as the Deco, for instance if I am connected to the Deco I get 250mbps more at 15 ft compared to the AXE95. Additionally, the security devices on the side of the house that use the AXE95 do not get nearly the signal strength of the ones using the Deco. Nonetheless they still work fine. However for the price of the AXE95 I would have expected more. Outside of that, the AXE95 works great as a router itself and having the two usb ports was mandatory for my use. Setting up the device was a little confusing for both devices but for most people I am sure it will be easy. I really prefer the old school web interface for programming the router and eventually I figured out how to use that vs the App. Tplink has also jumped on the "how much money can I get from the consumer" monthly based service models. If you want some of the basic security functions that were always included on a router, you now have to pay a monthly fee for it. Unfortunately this is in line with other manufacturers as well so I can't just ding Tplink for it, but I still will. I really like Tplink and wanted to stay with there products but if I were a normal consumer who needed two access points of coverage, I would definitely go with 2 of the Tplink Deco XE75's. I can only speak to the performance of using them with ethernet backhaul and not wirelessly piggybacked. If you have cut the cord with your satellite or cable provider, I strongly recommend looking into the Moca Screenbeams to upgrade your network using that old coax cable. On my wired connections, regardless of using the Deco or router I am getting 950mbps out of my 1000mbps fiber connection. Needless to say, GTA and RDR2 downloaded in record tme for me. I will update this review if I run into any problems down the road.

Excellent, just too pricy.

Got this at 25% off and it still stings, but performance wise, it delivers. My living room PC on wi-fi went from ~320mbps to ~800mbps when upgrading to this from an ISP provided modem-router. Physically it's very large, about twice what I was expecting for a router, but that's not really a problem. So really, it does a great job, it's a solid piece of hardware, price is the only issue.
