Toshiba N300 Pro HDWG51CXZSTB 12TB 7200 RPM 512MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5 Internal Hard Drive

Im running this in a Photo and Video only NAS. It works great. Came in great packaging. Only suggestion I have is try and not buy all your drives for your nas from one place so you can get different batches so if a batch is bad you don't loose everything.

The large drive just decided not to work, “no response “. I just purchased last September. I’m in the process of getting Toshiba to work with me (closed on weekends). Amazon will ‘extend’ and exchange for a 20% restocking fee. As if Amazon needs the extra $$$$$ To be continued….

Put one drive into Synology NAS and it started having I/O errors. Tested it on Windows desktop using SEATOOLS, Toshiba Drive Tools, Aomei partition - crashed every time, when I finally got a test to start the first 24 sectors reported bad before it crashed again. Put in the second HDD from Toshiba and it worked fine.....Returned and purchased a more expensive Seagate Iron Wolf Pro....

This Toshiba N300 Pro NAS drive is reliable and good value for the price. It works well in a 24/7 NAS setup and has fast and reliable performance. However, it can be sensitive to ESD, has inconsistent service and support, and is louder than some other NAS drives.
