TNC Troy M402/M426 MFP MICR Toner Secure

We ordered this toner in April and March to replace existing ones we had on stock. We didn't need to use them until this week. When we installed it the the toner created black smudges on our checks/deposit slips. Then it exploded with toner on our deposit slips. Would really appreciate a refund for the product being defective. The toner level said 100% but it clearly isn't working properly.

For over a year, I've been using a competitor's MICR toner which costs around $90 per cartridge. For a while I was hearing complaints that when checks are folded, the printed MICR line smudges and chips off the page. This toner stays on the page much better and is less likely to smudge or chip off the page when the page is folded and/or rubbed.
