Best sound I have ever heard.

I know sound is subjective but I've been listening and evaluating earbuds since before Bluetooth was even a thing, headphone amplifiers and the quality of the DAC (digital to audio converter) of your phone was a thing. My main problem with these is while the clarity and resolution is amongst the best, the dynamics are not. They are "pretty good" especially with the dynamic preset however that preset is not optimal for clarity IMO and the dynamics of that preset are not duplicable with the custom EQ. Now IF the clarity and resolution were head over heels above the competition I'd be content but I've listened to HOURS upon HOURS of back to back tracks with the Jabra Elite 10s (last purchase before these) and the Sennheiser M3s (my overall choice for all around goodness: sound, fit, noise cancelling, ambient, battery...and mine still work knock on wood) and I can unequivocally say even with the Jabra not having LDAC, fancy codec or bit rate they are RIGHT on the heels of the AZ80s in clarity BUT with better dynamics: by that I mean if you want to dial up hard hitting bass and high end sparkle for hip hop or electronic music the AZ80s aren't really made to do that as well. They are geared to keeping things tighter, vocal centric and a bit sterile. Would a "real" audiophile prefer the AZ80s yes indeed but 95% of people are not audiophiles, even the ones who think they are. There's a reason virtually no manufacturer tunes that way (including Technics. I don't want to come off like they aren't dynamic, bass doesn't hit etc because they do all that this is just in comparison and nit picking as you should when spending $200+ on earbuds). The Sennheiser M3s just sound better period IMO and I'd bet my life on that! The B&O EQ also sound better and beat them all in clarity with dynamics to match but the bulky fit and features can't match the others. Now where the AZ80s shine are fit, comfort and features. I really like being able to adjust ambient sound and noise cancellation from 0-100% with a slider. These are very comfortable (nothing is as comfortable as the Jabra Elite 10s but these are 2nd of the 15 or so earbuds I currently own). They stay in the ear well once I got the ear tip size correct with the help of the app. Had I paid the initial price of $300 I would not have been happy with the value of these but at the $225 I paid they are well worth adding to the collection.
