I am hesitant to use new memory from lesser known companies, but this ram works great. I am a big fan of Patriot, Gskill and Team Group. Great products and value priced. You could try to get memory off the manufacturer's recommended list, but should not be necessary to achieve good performance. I notice that Gskill seems to be on the recommended list the most when browsing documentation. I would not hesitate to try this memory in your DDR4 system. Hopefully, DD5 memory on newer motherboards will achieve the same level of compatibility as DDR4, but I think we still have another year before that happens.

RAM upgrade and don't let anyone tell you more RAM doesn't matter. It's the cheapest way to get a faster computer. Make sure you match 'pins' and specs of any exisiting RAM you might be using with the new one's.
