Our primary home has Ring cameras inside and out, while another property has cameras from different brands with majority of Tapo units. I installed this above the garage door since it provides 360 view pan and tilt functionality. Adding it to the app is very easy. The installation consists of mounting the base unit to the wall with the included screws and anchors and attaching the camera to the base unit. Since this is a wired camera, it just takes a bit of planning upfront to find the perfect spot for it near an outlet (or using an extension). One thing that this relatively affordable camera has that my expensive Ring setup doesn't have is the auto -or manual if needed- pan and tilt. It works amazingly well! It follows moving objects while they're moving in the area that I set up in the app. Sometimes it gets confused if there are multiple moving objects in the viewing area, but that's rare. The video quality is great at 2K, especially during the day. The night vision is pretty clear, too. Overall, it performs better than the Ring stickup cameras. Another major point of this camera is the local storage via microSD cards. I'm using a Samsung endurance 256GB card in it and it's been working great. If you're in the market for a quality outdoor camera with 360 view, give this one a try!

Unlike many of these Wi-Fi cameras nowadays, this in no way requires a subscription for use. The subscription is purely for cloud storage, and as far as I am aware it loses absolutely no features if you use an SD card instead. In addition, it fully supports RTSP for local streaming and management through third party software. On the negative side, the Tapo app platform does not support access via web or PC, you must use the Mobile App to view cameras and recorded video (Without pulling the SD card or using third party software). The camera quality is very good, better than it really needs to be, and the panning functionality works fairly well.

Il punto di forza é il Sistema Tapo che permette di organizzare e gestire un cospicuo numero di device utilizzando un'unica app che funziona più che discretamente. In commercio vi sono vari sistemi come questo ma avendone provati alcuni ritengo che questo sia il miglior compromesso tra costi e funzioni. La telecamera é un 1080 che sono più che sufficienti per il controllo di aree esterne. La visione notturna é valida e il sistema di rilevamento e allarme funziona egregiamente. Ovviamente se dovessero servire prestazioni superiori é necessario acquistare camere con maggior definizione ( ad esempio per rilevare con precisione numeri di targa in visione notturna). Il sistema contempla una camera 2k con visione notturna a colori, peccato che non ne abbiano una con zoom.

I currently have a lot of smart devices hooked up in both inside and outside of our house. I have been getting more devices for the outside since they have been light on the security side and when I saw this particular camera pop up in my feed, I knew it would make the perfect addition to my security system. The camera itself is great. I placed it directly in the front center of the house. Since it has 360 degree capabilities I can pan and tilt as needed right from my phone to see what is happening all around the front of my house directly from one camera installation. The night vision also looks great, as it looks like daytime when viewing on the app. What I really love about this camera is the fact that it connects to my GoogleHome setup with no issues and I am able to use the GoogleHome app to see the live view for this camera.

La qualité de cette petite caméra est étonnante (surtout pour le prix!) de jour comme de nuit et permet une réelle surveillance des extérieurs de mon domicile. La détection des personnes fonctionne à merveille, il faut juste veiller à avoir une vue dégagée sur les premiers mètres (pas de feuillage dans le champ de vision par exemple). Gros plus : son intégration à HomeAssistant est parfaite et permet un pilotage fin en fonction de notre présence ou non à la maison, ce qui nous permet de préserver l'intimité de chacun. Elle fonctionne également très bien avec mon vieux NAS Synology 213+, le service Cloud n'a pas été testé, il n'est pas nécessaire au bon fonctionnement de la caméra. Seul bémol, le Wifi est parfois limite alors que le boitier n'est situé qu'à 7 mètres (derrière un mur en parpaing, il est vrai, mais difficile de faire autrement pour une caméra extérieure !).
