Startech S3510BMU33 3.5-Inch USB 3.0 External SATA III Hard Drive Enclosure (Black) Black USB 3.0

This is a good enclosure, but not a great one. I got it to house a surplus WD Black 3.5" drive which runs hot. I was hoping there would be more ventilation, and a metal-to-metal heat path from the drive to the aluminum case. The drive mounts to a plastic tray, which then slides into the metal case. I trust it will continue to work, in normal StarTech fashion, but I'll probably make sure it's in the flow of a fan if I use it extensively. BTW, the AC Infinity Multi Fans (example, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G059G86) are great for anything that might need a bit of help keeping cool. Highly recommended!

De par son prix, ce boitier se présente comme un produit haut de gamme. Finition alu brossé de bonne qualité. Led bleue en face avant Le pied est bien fini, avec mousse antidérapante pour tenir le boitier, et caoutchouc en dessous. Tiroir en plastique. Attention de ne pas serrer trop fort les visses si non ça casse. Interrupteur on-off en face arrière TRES dure. Moi qui n'est pas d'ongle j'ai énormément de mal à le manouevrer. C'est un peu dommage à ce prix là. Concernant les débits, je ne peux me prononcer. J'ai installé un IronWolf qui est donné pour 202MB. Une fois installé dans le boitier, j'ai toujours entre 185 et 200, donc c'est correct. A voir avec un disque plus rapide.

IT技術者御用達メーカーの3.5インチHDDケースと聞いて、少し高価ですが購入しました。 結論から言うと「高いだけの価値はある」と思います。 筐体外側は1.5mm厚のアルミで、バリはないもののちょっとエッジが立ってます。アルマイト加工っぽく被膜結構厚そう。内側はプラスチックでHDD固定はねじ止めながら、2.5インチドライブを固定する穴なし。もし2.5インチドライブを使いたい場合はコマンドタブなどで固定するといいかも。取付ねじはネジはドライブ取付用、ケース固定用にそれぞれに予備があるのがいいですね。ちなみに筐体には通気口がありますが1面にしかなく、冷却性能には寄与しないと思います。 スタンドはプラ製ですが底面の他、HDDに接する面にもスポンジが貼ってありがっちり挟み込む形になっていました。ACアダプタは 12V2A 24W 5.5-2.1 センタープラス。秋月電子の12V5Aでも問題なく動作しました。 WD製 Ultrastar DC HC560 20TBを装着し、6TBほどを5時間くらいかけて書き混んでみました。速度は妥協点ですが温度は50度くらいで安定し速度低下やエラーは一度も起きず。ちなみに横置きだと温度がやや高くなります、縦置き推奨です。 取り付けたHDDは固定のSCSIドライブとして認識されましたので、SSDをつけた場合Trimもできると思います。 欠点らしい欠点は、電源スイッチがなぜかUSBと電源の間にあってON/OFF時ちょっと怖いです。そのくらいですかね。良い買い物をしました。

Basically the only solid/reliable enclosure on Amazon ... but it's so old! What I mean is, there are so many other enclosures that have really nice features like install/removal, or space saving, etc. This one is still a thousand screws and a big clunky slab of aluminum, but at the end of the day, I know I can count on that slab.

Per caso l'ho comprato dopo due cocenti delusioni per avere un case adatto ad un hgst. Testato, lo alimenta bene con velocità ottime di trasferimento. All'interno l'hard disk è tenuto in posizione da 4 viti da inserire alla base, in modo che non si muova durante il trasporto. È estremamente facile da utilizzare, compatto ed in alluminio. Forse l'unica pecca è l'aerazione , poiché solo da un lato c'è una griglia per fare "respirare" l'hard disk. Tuttavia essendo alluminio si raffredda facilmente, contrariamente agli involucri fatti in plastica che diventano piccoli forni. E devo dire non ho notato aumento di temperatura (misurato con crystaldisk) Se come me avete necessità di un contenitore affidabile per hard disk, lo raccomando caldamente! Aggiornamento: dopo formattazione completa, circa 12 or do esecuzione continua, l'hard disk è rimasto ad una temperatura simile a quella di quando era collegato dentro il case, sotto i 40 gradi.
