I needed a USB card to plug into that had: individual controllers and good power delivery for the items. Surprisingly that is a fairly hard thing to find. You can find one but not the other and vice versa. I have a lot of flight sim stuff so I needed more juice and the ability to use the PCIE lanes more effectively. This card does it. Its got 4 dedicated lanes so if you need to have your PC talking to a few oddball peripheral devices like VR or flight sims, this should be a good choice. Also the aux power directly on the card is a nice touch.

Quick delivery. After mounting the card, booting up the pc, then installing the drivers off the included cd, it worked instantly and perfectly. So when i need an expansion card i buy a Startech.

I have a 13 year old Gateway computer with USB 2.0 ports, and I wanted to upgrade to the USB 3.0 service. I read enough info to make an attempt at installing this Star Tech unit, and I was thrilled that it worked immediately after the install. My Internet download speed increased from +/- '260 Mbps' up to +/- '460 Mbps' .. (with upload speed '12 Mbps' .. no change). I have checked my speed frequently, and it is consistently above at least '440 Mbps'. This is a great product at a great buy !

PCを買い換えた際に、外付けHDDの台数が多かったことから、どうしようかと思っていたら、この商品と出会いました。 新しくしたPCはロープロファイルで2スロットしか空きがないので、ロープロファイルで外部に6台接続できるのは助かります。 また内部に1台拡張できるので、余っていたSSDを2台内蔵し、1台をUSB変換で内部に拡張できて便利でしたが、買ったケーブルが悪く、計画倒れに終わりましたが、内部に拡張できるのも便利です。

Speed seems to be holding up so far. The only problem right now is that the orientation of the connectors on the card, makes it very hard to plug anything in as the standard width of the opening on the back of the computer is marginally narrower than the connectors on the card.
