Easy Upgrade - Good Support from the Firewall Store (firewalls.com)

No Separate license Needed - just register the device on the Sonic Wall Site and if you had the legacy device regestered you automatically get the 3 year Essential License . I had a question and got help right away from Firewalls . com.

I feel safe again...

I am our companies local network admin but ony because I know a little more that everyoen else. I have no formal trainig in IT but have been into it as a hobby since high school. This is a complex piece of equipment and not for the faint of heart unless your trained in networking. However I was able to install and set up all of the advanced features watching their youtube videos. Most features you just "turn on" but some like deep packet inspection SSL need some study and effort. Still I was able to secure my network and now have a daily dashboard where I can see all threats and have selected to get email alerts for some of them. I did need a little help from my computer consulting company to get the VPN to flow though it but that was like a 15 minute ticket. The rest I did myself. Previousely all I had was a router with some simple firewall settings but no active intrusion or ransomware protection. This beast has it all including a proprietary sandbox cloud that will inpect suspecious files (even encrypted) at their cloud based sandbox before allowing it on your netwrork and it happens without noticable slowdown. I had all the features turned on within a weeks time. I love it and feel truly safe for the first time knwoing it has my back is is watching for intrsuions before they happen and preventing ransomware form even getting through the fireawall in the first place.

Great firewall, easy to use, miss the old UI though

Been using Sonicwall for years. Love the fact that this one came with 3yr CGSS and support license. Easy to use, but do miss the old UI.
