SAMSUNG ViewFinity S8 27-Inch Series 4K UHD High Resolution Monitor, IPS Panel, 60Hz, Thunderbolt 4, HDR 10+, Built-in Speakers, Height Adjustable Stand, (LS27B800TGNXGO), 2022

I bought this monitor to complement a brand new Macbook Air M2, which of course supports Thunderbolt 4. The monitor is easy to assemble and install, and I used the included Thunderbolt 4 USB-C cable that came with it. The computer recognized it and setting the displays to mirror as well as times for going to screensaver or sleep was straightforward. Day one of use was just fine, but then thereafter, when the display slept, it could not be awoken at all... nothing short of unplugging/replugging the AC power to the monitor would restore its function. And the final straw was the screen showing fragments of previously closed windows, and then locking up on the screensaver altogether. One other annoyance is that there is no discreet power switch. It has an awkwardly placed "joystick" button that must be pressed, then pulled down, then pressed again to power the unit down. Otherwise, this appears to be a nice monitor, so I hope Samsung can get the bugs out (new firmware release?)
