This one I owned eventually would no longer be recognized by any desktop or laptop. It would only work with my Samsung Galaxy. Meaning I luckily didn't lose any files. The seller did uphold the return and my current one (provided from the sellers own website) has worked fine without my previous issue. The shell's build quality isn't perfect for it's intended use on a key ring. As it rubs against keys it's metal gets worn down. Right now after about 3+ years it's starting to have small cracks in the worn areas. It still works perfectly fine right now, but I may have to retire it someday to be a stay at home USB drive.

I am required to carry with me at all times the latest version of a huge software system that I maintain. It has to be encrypted and I have to have it on me 24-7. This seemed to be the perfect answer to that. It formatted easily on my MacBook Pro and is easy to use. Storage is way more than I need. I like the fact that it is all metal, has a built in key-ring hole (that is built into the metal, not a cheap thing that will break), and does not require a cap nor the need to extract / retract the plug. The plug is built into the recessed metal housing and does not extend (rather, the USB cable plugs into the metal). Probably not fully waterproof, but certainly a solid build. It does get warm under use - but again, I don't leave it plugged in more than a few seconds at most, to upload the latest version. Good buy - better than my last solution which was plastic and broke after a year or so.

I have a 64GB older version of this, which is why I bought this one. I was benchmark testing some of my USB drives and I tested this one as well. Of all my drives, USB flash, SSD SATA and NVME M.2., this is the second fastest drive I own. The NVME drive is a bit faster. This is the best Flash drive I've ever owned, and I know it will last. I was a bit worried because the last 128GB drive I bought is slow and inconsistent. This is nothing like that. This is so good I'll buy more to replace some of my external drives I use for archiving.
