Connected to main switch via the 10Gb port. Good speed for devices connected.

The switch is well built with all metal. I don't notice any audible fan noise as claimed by other reviewers as it's appears to be very quiet. Before you make an attempt to log in to the switch, the user ID is always "admin" which is not changeable, and the password is the MAC address without symbols in between, all upper cases. Once you log in, just update the firmware to get started. The basic configuration is straightforward but when comes down to the VLAN configuration, make sure that the VLAN1 is on "Untagged" for the trunk port, or you will lose access to the switch. Attached a referenced picture which configures 4 VLANs in my network for 2 LACPs. The GUI is okay but doesn't allow you to provide a description of the ports or LAG channel. This is a really bummer as most of the much less expensive switches would allow description to be added. Once the configuration is completed, it's been working great and passing through packets like a fly. Absolutely zero issues. I have LACP lagged with my Firewalla's 2.5g two ports and works perfectly. In summary, I do recommend this switch but need to be very careful when configuring VLANs.

This is a very basic managed switch and doesn't really have any advanced features. But it's exactly what I needed to extend my network ports in my home office.

We use this switch to setup a HA config for our firewalls. Works great, nice form factor and great performance.

As for 10GbE gear, I'd say this device is pretty quiet. And most importantly, the rackmount version looks way better (or professional shall I say?) than the cheap-looking plastic desktop one.
