Excellent!!!

Very pleased with this item. I was a bit nervous after reading at a lot of negative reviews concerning dropped packets. So, I created a test using two identical 7 TB file sets on a remote device. Then I did a byte-for-byte file comparison across the network. This test passed with near full bandwidth and had zero errors after pushing 14 Tb of data through the switch. Bottom line: This was exactly what I needed and is rock solid after a couple of days of heavy load.

Perfect desktop switch to connect a workstation 10G and have a 10G backhaul to the rest of your network. Tried it with 10G single mode and multimode transceivers and DAC cables without a hitch. A pair of these let me upgrade my network to 10 and 2.5 G and everything is running great.

To start, I'll say I'm just glad it works as advertised. I tried a Zyxel XGS1250-12 and a cheap knockoff no-name brand from Amazon. There's no frills with this switch, just plug and play. I get full bandwidth over the SFP+ from my router (Asus RT-AX89X) with my PC connected to one of the 4 2.5gbps ports. This is only day 1 but I'm just pleased that it works. This switch handles ALL my internet traffic except the wifi from the main router. My node/access point wifi units are plugged into this switch to eliminate any unnecessary switching duties from my router (the only cable plugged into my main router is the SFP+) . I will update this review if anything changes.
