Plustek SmartOffice PS286 Plus Document Scanner

I bought this product 16 months ago, some times it wouldn't finish scan the whole document, but it freezes before completing the page and give a noizy sound, then I have to shut it down ,take the paper out and restart, I thought it is a minor problem and will disappear by time, but after a while, it continues. Now it does this every day, and actually we have to shut it down and start 5-10 times a day. I can't return it, as I got it over one year, I appreciate if there is helpfull suggestion which migh help to avoid this problem.

I love this scanner, it saves me so much time! I can scan one sided and two sided documents consecutively and save them as one document. You can also manipulate PDF's.

This scanner is very fast, accurate, easy setup and works well with the Paperport 14.0 Professional software that I purchased to use with it. It's also very portable and easy to carry around.

Great machine with a reliable document feeder, coupled with a broad-based software suite. I could suggest a few changes to the design, only to make it more robust, however I'm happy with it's performance.

Excellent scans, although awkward to use.
