Plantronics Headset - S12 Telephone - Firefly - Plastic - Black

Have been using the same Plantronics headset setup (can't recall the model number, but I can come up with it if anybody's curious)for years without problems. But, one day I suddenly couldn't get rid of a variety of noises and maddening clicks that pretty much drowned out what was being said at the other end. I was looking for a solution that would eliminate the feedback without having to replace the rest of the Plantronics hardware since it appeared to still be working perfectly. So I did some research online and discovered that I could invest small money to replace only the microphone/earphone apparatus....and that's this product. However, much to my surprise, this item does NOT include a new earphone pad so if yours is as raggedly looking as mine is after all these years, you should remember to order another one of those as well. It's easy to replace your old microphone with the new one; just "pop" the circular connector on old one out of the coupling on the headset and "pop" in the new one. Voila! You're in business again.

This did not come with clear instructions and I have not yet figured out how this headset fits in my ears!

The picture when I was shopping for the product showed (2) pieces, an ear piece, and a headset.. When the product arrived, it was apparently only the ear piece. I would not have paid the price I did for just the single piece had I known it. Perhaps I need to pay closer attention to the fine print.

they break down too quickly. The peg sleeve slices at the midpoint and then you can't keep it in the sleeve. in a year and a half, I've gone through three of them. Not happy, but it's the only one that fits my phone at work
