Love the product family, I have over 30 hue products across my house and I was really excited to to get 2 of these outdoor ones but they shipped 1 of the old generation without mentioning anything and you are limited with what you can do. During installation the cheap plastic spike that fixed the light to the ground broke trying to stick it into my mulch bed. If it wasn’t for that, I would’ve given it 4 stars. You’d think for the price they would include quality materials. But for the price it’s very disappointing

I love these lights. they were easy to install and integrated quite easily with my Hue system. My only issue is that I seem to have purchased 5 lights and ended up with 2 sets of slightly different lights (different generations I assume). Coming back to check on Amazon, I see indeed that 3 of the lights link to one listing and the 2 others link to another listing. The noticeable difference is that there are some Hue features like the fireplace and candle effects that I cannot use on the 2 older lights.

The product itself works fine but I ordered new product along with extension units. These were NOT new and clearly labeled as refurbished. The packages did not contain the three deck mounting screws as indicated in the manual. I did not need them, but it would have been a source of frustration if someone needed them. These units were not automatically discovered by my bridge and I had to manually add them with the serials. Both extensions that were shipped new were flawless. I can't say whether this was due to these refurbs being older models or just being finicky but it's worth mentioning. The manuals that came in the package were dated 2018 while the extension manuals were dated 2020. Bottom line...if I am not explicitly purchasing something labeled as used or refurbished (and at a lower price point) I fully expect new-in-box product. This is why I am much more likely to buy products fulfilled by Amazon and this was a letdown. Product wise, installation was very easy and quality and performance is what I expect and is consistent with the rest of the Hue line.

I have a total 6 lights mixed with Econic and Bollard Hue outdoor lights and my experience has been very positive. The light generated is much greater than the Solar LED lights you'll find and having the ability to control both colour and timing of the lights is a great benefit as well. If you are in the Hue system, you're accustomed to paying more than average price for devices, however this like others they make are worth their ease of use and easy integration into your existing system. I'd recommend it!

Couldn’t find the cable lengths listed anywhere, so here they are: BASE UNIT: connector cable from light 11 inch (28cm), power supply brick has two cables: to the outlet is 5 feet (152cm), to the light 6 feet (183cm). EXTENSION UNIT: connector cable from light 11 inch (28cm), included extension cable 95 inch (241cm).
