Excellent exhibition fiber paper, print quality is excellent. I use it with my Canon Prograf PRO1000 and print 17x22 size prints. I included some pictures/samples.

This is my "go to" inkjet paper when I want to make fine art photographic prints. I most nearly resembles silver halide fiber-based enlarging paper. In side-by-side comparisons of silver halide enlargements from original film negatives vs. Canon IPF5100 pigment-based prints of digital scans of the original film negatives, I (50 years experience with printing in a chemical darkroom, 10years experience with digital print) and other critical observers found them to be indistinguishable. I found that the IPF 5100 inks penetrate deeper into the Exhibition Fiber Paper coating than with some other fine art papers, resulting in a print less susceptible to surface scratching and other marks, but not as sturdy as silver halide prints. The surface is an "F" grade, not really a glossy coating, but a nice semi-gloss sheen that retains some of the extreme sharpness characteristics of true glossy paper. The base is a neutral white, which looks nice with archival, acid-free white mounting board.. The paper is nice and thick, making it easy to handle and mount. When I load my printer with 17X22 Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper, I often pre-heat the paper with a hair drier to improve flexibility, which leads to prints without any marks from the printer. I would give it five stars if it weren't so expensive.

I love this paper, but they need to do a better job of keeping paper specks out of the box when they package it. I'm sure it's the dust created when the paper is cut, and since it's the same color, it's hard as hell to ensure that none exists before I put it into my printer. When there are paper specks on the paper, it comes out of the printer with tiny little white spots where the ink hit the speck instead of the paper; it's a complete and frustrating waste of very expensive paper. If not for that, I would give this paper 5 stars. Clean it up Epson!

If you own a 17 inch printer, you are probably at the advanced hobbyist or professional level. I'll assume that you are. This paper is the best I have found for general use in high quality printing. There are other papers that are more specialized, and will give you that particular texture or color that you were looking for. But I always have this paper on the shelf for my top quality prints. It is not a cotton rag paper so you won't get that look. It has the look of the very best old chemical process papers. With the right printer settings, the paper just disappears and all you see is your image. Can't get much better than that. The printer driver that Epson supplies for this specific paper seems to work just fine, but you can always tweak it if you want to.
