Fit the phone

First the cover for the charging port - rubber you just pry it open and mash it closed so eventually it'll just fall off. bending the rubber back forth over time. took about 3 months. Plus the charging port opening is too tight for most chargers. so you need a slim charger to connect. Does not quite close properly so it's always clicking if you squeeze. 18Months in the rubber shock absorber around the edge (for if/when you drop it. just ripping apart and deteriorating .

First I ordered some 3rd party, scrambled letters for a company name, basic box case and it didnt fit. Not wanting to gamble the cost of shipping a second time, I ordered OtterBox. The quality is not the same as the otterboxes I owned for my samsungs in 2010, 12, and 15. BUT, they are still so much better than what anyone else is making. The xcover6 pro has a known problem with warping just enough in peoples pockets to mess up the connectors for the screen and charger. I wanted a case that would keep the phone from bending when I sit on it. I am very confident that this newer otterbox will do that even if they arent quite the same quality as the ones 10 years ago. The main difference between then and now comes down to the plastic being a little thinner/more flexible and the snaps being a little looser and not as snappy. The new ones also don't have a built in screen protector either, but for me thats a feature as I prefer the look/feel/security of a tempered glass screenguard anyway.

this is the 2nd one i bought for my husband who is really hard on covers. It lasted for a year. that's great for him.
