I’ve had the Otterbox for iPhone for some time and really was impressed. I tried several others (and broke screens) including the case with the extra battery back, the weight and shape of it actually seemed to contribute to the shock when dropped. The Otterbox for iPhone is superior, no screen breaks so far. Therefore, I had to try the Otterbox for my iPad as well. They make very detailed and good fitting products. They are a little bulky. Apple sells you on this sleek minimalist design for all their products and they are beautiful. Otterboxes are not sleek but should be respected for their design, protection and reliability.

I bought this Otterbox for my mom's iPad for two reasons. One, my work iPad has the same basic case and it is great, very protective and heavy duty. It also has a stand that is ingenious and quite useful in both of its orientations. Second, it gave my mom some peace of mind that her iPad is protected. She also immediately commented that the weight made it feel more stable in her hands. It is a pretty beefy case and for that reason I can't give it a 5 star for being lightweght. But I wouldn't want that at all, I'll trade weight for security any day.

I’m not much of a review person but’s I had to leave on after reading some of the others. I am very partial to Otterbox products as I feel that they have saved my devices numerous times from damage. My iPhone 7 was in my pocket when I wrecked my crotchrocket and the commuter case I have in it ensured it was undamaged in any way. Wish I had been wearing a giant Otterbox on my body as I did not fare quite as well... Anyway I wanted to straighten out a few concerns others seem to have about the product. There is no question about its authenticity, it is the real thing. As far as fitment goes, it fits, if you have a 9.7” iPad PRO. I’m assuming some people who experienced fitment issues aren’t putting it on the iPad PRO. As for the holes in the screen protector, yes it has two holes in the screen protector. You paid all this money for the iPad Pro, I’m assuming you would like the True Tone display to operate properly. Having two small holes where the sensors are is the cost. As far as bulk, it is bulky, it is an Otterbox. This isn’t a case made for those of you that can’t handle the inconvenience of an iPad that weighs two pounds. Go to the gym and hit the weights or get a real job and do some work if you can’t handle the weight. I would rather not worry about damaging my device. It has a thin piece of plastic over the Touch ID sensor. Otter boxes aren’t magic, they need to make the plastic thin for the sensor to be able to see your fingerprint. If you don’t like it take it off. At least they tried to offer a solution to protect the Touch ID sensor. If you. My only complaint is that the screen protector takes away from the quality of using the pencil. It feels like it has a little more resistance when you are moving the pencil around on the screen. I might take the plastic one out of the case and get a glass one. But for $31 how can I complain? The case is fantastic and I am glad I bought it. The pencil fits it it great by the way I think I saw a complaint about that. It’s made for the generation one pencil I’m assuming once again someone was trying to jam etching else in it so they had something to complain about in their review online. Enjoy your Otterbox and not having to ever replace your iPad due to damage.

It's a very good case specifically for worry free use of your iPad. It does increase the weight of the device
