OtterBox Defender Series Case for IPAD PRO 12.9" (4TH & 3RD GEN) - Black

I stand by all things Otterbox! I finally had to break down and buy a new defender series for my iPad after I wore the other out. I’ve dropped my device more time than I care to admit and not once has my device sustained damage. This is a great buy.

I purchased this for my husband’s new 12.9 iPad I got him for his birthday. He has broken a 9 and another 12.9 iPads. This is his 3rd and final one.😂 The case is great protection thus far. Wish I had it when he had the other 2. It was a little challenging getting the rubber part into the grooves, but other than that, it was easy putting it on. I was even able to put another screen saver up under it. I’m a big fan of Otter products. I’ve used them on my phones for years.

Sturdy and protective. I don't like the flap on the side that is used to cover the Apple pencil charging location. It's flimsy and feels like it will break off. Also, when I purchased it, for some reason there was a large gap between the layers that is slightly bothersome. The built-in plastic screen protector is also pretty bad and scratches easily. Once it's scratched (even the Apple pencil can scratch it) it is annoying to use. However, the rest of the case is excellent and I do highly recommend purchasing it and you will not be disappointed, it's just that it could have been better.

. It makes the iPad heavier but is very sturdy. It is just a matter of choice if you are okay with making the tablet to look bulkier or not. To me, I prefer the protection over the look.
