OtterBox AMPLIFY GLASS Screen Protector for Galaxy S22 - CLEAR (GEN 2) Alpha Flex (Gen 2) Blue Light

Maybe it's because my screen is face out when in my pocket and I hit a door, but one day I saw a crack in the middle of the protector. No problem, until I noticed that it was chipping in the corners too. Just got worse and worse, even with no impacts to the glass

Bought thinking it had higher break resistance. Bottom corner cracked and have not had any hard drops. Better off buying cheap ones given my experience.

Easy to install. Once I got it installed, I had to raise it up half way to remove a fuzz. I sealed it back down and haven't had any problems with it coming off or peeling up. Before installing I set my phone to be more sensitive to touch and so far it has worked great. I use the Otter Box Defender case with this screen protector and I feel like my phone is protected.

UPDATE: I still like this, still 5 stars for reasons cited below, but with use, it does seem to interfere with fingerprint recognition enough that I will probably eventually remove it for that reason. If you don't rely on fingerprint recognition, or if you carry a phone in purse or pocket with other objects that could damage the screen, or if you use your phone in an environment where screen damage is likely, I can still see where this would be worth it. (I also now see why it's not included with the Otterbox case.) ORIGINAL REVIEW: This seems well-designed. It comes with a jig to perfectly center the protector, as well as materials to remove dust, etc. As a result, it takes a minute to absorb the installation process (check out YouTube videos), but I followed it and it worked perfectly. No dust, no bubbles, perfectly centered, works perfectly with Otterbox Defender cases. Perfectly clear, looks like part of the original phone. I turned up the touch sensitivity, and yes, there is some minor degradation of fingerprint recognition, but for me, it works well enough, actually better than I expected, based on other reviews. No material difference on screen touch sensitivity otherwise, that I can tell. Kudos for creativity and carefully thinking through the installation process. This eliminates all the usual frustrations with installation. I was on the fence about whether to even use a screen protector. I had one on another phone, and eventually took it off and did fine. But if you typically carry your phone in a purse or pocket with your keys, or you tend to be careless with your device, you probably have a greater need. CONS: It's kind of expensive. I bought it on sale; I'm not sure I would have bought it at the typical price, especially since many people are fine without a screen protector. As others have mentioned, there is a very small gap between the edge of the protector and the edge of the Otterbox Defender case. Yes, dust may accumulate over time, but it is so small I can't imagine it ever being an issue. However, I would like to see Otterbox either reduce the price or include it with the case.
