I purchased this projector to replace an older Epson. We tried to watch a movie this last weekend and no matter what setting it was on the colors looked really washed out and dull. After messing with every setting I could I realized that the projector was simply defective. I put my old Epson back in place to get by until my new Epson arrives. This was very disappointing but I had read mixed reviews about Optomo in general so I guess I wasn't surprised. For the brief time it worked correctly the colors looked really good. Playing back the new Flash movie really showed how good it could have been. Too bad a week later it wasn't. Also during my initial setup and testing it was running really hot. You can tell it just isn't a quality product as well just by the packaging. Very basic, no foam padding or anything.

This is my first projector I am learning a lot about how to set this up and things. I did notice my screen was usually fine but it had a slant in it. I learned I need to take out any slack in the screen from left and right. With the slant going down to the left at the top. I just needed to push that side of the screen just a little and it took that slant away real fast. I got a quick pop up screen first I want to make sure everything was Going to work well first. Now I have a mounted screen it so much easier. Also if you can mount the projector as well cause it's like shooting a rifle at 300 meters. One little hair moved left or right it is going to be off 6 inches when it gets there. So having it mounted where it's not going to move is really needed. But After doing some math was easy where to mount the screen and where to mount the projector. Over all it is great. I do PC gaming and PS5 and Xbox. It's great playing in 4k ultra settings on it. The wife loves movies. We are big Nicholas Sparks fans so watching The Notebook is great. Along with any thing else. Can't beat this for the price and it puts out a great picture.

This projector is much brighter than my last one. The picture is clear and huge. I may need to move it closer because it is larger than my screen even with the zoom all the way in. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Had a projector from this brand for 9 years and replaced with this for 4k. Great projector and quiet. Good for theatre room.

I upgraded from a competitor, starts with an O and rhymes with BOptoma, and it is night and day. Good vs evil. Heaven vs hell. The picture is crystal clear and such an upgrade from the previous model. I did have to change the mounting location as the throw distance was different, but that’s my problem. Spend the little extra and go with the laser. This has a 30,000 hour life expectancy - so it’s going to outlive humanity. I think I’ve reviewed 3 items on Amazon, this needed to be one of them.
