Surprised!

My pictures doesn't do the image justice but this looks really good for something that is as small as it is. It fits in the palm of my hand and weight less than a pound. I purchased both a nebula capsule laser and nebula capsule II and this was better hands down for a few reasons. The short throw lens sealed the deal for me because I got twice the size for the same distance as the other projectors. Biggest drawback is the fact that you need additional considerations for sound and connectivity since the internal speaker is insufficient and it doesn't have android tv. Picture quality is important for me so for the size it was worth it but the price still feels high because of the limitations. Pros: 1) Short throw - got 75 inches just about 3.5 feet away 2) Brightness & Picture Quality - The capsule II was way too dark so in turn even colors didn't look as rich. The capsule laser wasn't that bad but the colors on this are way better still because of the higher brightness. 3) Keystone & Focus - Automatic vertical and auto focus 3) Size & Versatility - Weighs less than a pound, so easier to travel with or move around to different rooms including outside. Cons: 1) Sound - Speaker is pretty much unusable unless you are just listening to speech, need to connect to an external speaker and there is no bluetooth connection. 2) No smart function - You will need to use with a firestick, roku, shield, wifi dongle etc. 3) Horizontal Keystone - Wish it had automatic horizontal keystone.

Small, but it has everything you need.

The media could not be loaded. I just got it, and I bought this for my kid. I took this sample video in the afternoon. I hope it has excellent durability. Pro: Buy it if you live in a condo, suitable for a small space. It's modest with a High-quality image. It has an autofocus function. Con: Bad built-in speaker. No integrated blue tooth connection, which means you have to buy a blue tooth transmitter. The autofocus function needs to be improved.

Remote isn't reliable.

Remote control: it's supposed to work up to 7 meters but barely works even when you're right on top of it. Speaker: unless you are sitting on top of the projector the speaker is useless - too quiet. Display: bright and I can see it no problem even in lighted conditions; focus 100" diagonal no problem. 8 inch, no problem. Size: best part of this device is its small form factor & carrying case. Connections: forget playing your presentation off a USB stick - very slow to respond and doesn't play embedded video. HDMI works. Haven't figured out how to get the audio going out to a speaker yet. Last thoughts: User manual is buried in the onboard memory - it's easier to go download it from Optima's website.

Presque parfait !!!

It's been awesome. I use it more than I'd intended to

This little guy is legendary. If you have a little light control you can get a HUGE image out of it. If your not use to projectors, the image quality will blow you away. I bought this for use in my room at night, and for when I spend weekends away from home. It's been awesome. I use it more than I'd intended to. In relatively bright conditions I can make the screen tiny, say 17 inches; this acts as a secondary computer display while I work. I'm use to using multiple monitors, so massive plus. Overall this thing is amazing. It's feels a bit like a gate way drug, I already want a full sized unit for use in my living room! If your shopping around, and you find this, the 550 version, or the gt, or regular throw 750 your on track. Pick your version, you won't regret it. If your looking for something bigger, brighter, and more permanent. Look at one of the full size models, or maybe a ben q. Also consider getting a couple tri pod accessories. These make mounting and set up much more consistent. FYI ml and gt version are the same. I called optoma. Only difference is the gt has a input lag figure on its spec sheet. ML has the same input lag, unofficially.
