Old Model Mini Quiet Pro Keyboard for PC

I got this as "Used/Like New". After a few months the "T" key started failing. Either it entered too many letters or none. Cleaning with high pressure air worked for a while but then the problem started again. After a few of these cycles I gave up. Since I bought as "Used" the seller refuses to replace the keyboard so it goes into the electronics recycling bin. While it still worked I liked the keyboard a lot. It feels good and is pretty quiet.

backspace doesnt work well. sometimes work, sometimes doesnt, sometimes it deletes 3 letters.

I bought this keyboard because I wanted a change from the Cherry Brown and Black keyboards I previously used. Pros: - Extremely quiet (much quieter than my Cherry Browns and Blacks) - Nice tactile bump (similar to the Cherry Browns, but less snappy) - Compact form-factor (even more compact than a standard ten-keyless design) - The three USB 2.0 ports are very useful - A Canadian company! Cons - The glossy black plastic picks up scratches and fingerprints very easily (I am considering PlastiDipping mine) - The key layout for the navigation buttons and delete key were awkward at first, but I got used to it (take a close look at the layout before buying) - Replacement keycaps may be impossible to find (they use an alps stem that is not compatible with Cherry keycaps) Conclusion Worth the price if you are looking for a quiet keyboard with a tactile feel. It is great for long typing sessions and the compact design is more ergonomic than conventional keyboard designs.

This is my first mechanical keyboard, so do take my review accordingly. I use it on my Macbook, eschewing the made-for-Mac Matias Laptop Pro and Tactile Pro on account of price and colour (I'm also not yet a fan of bluetooth connection for keyboards). The construction of the keyboard is robust. There is a good heftiness to it. The aesthetics is better than it looks on the picture. Simple and clean, as Utada Hikaru would have it. However, it is not as 'cool' as many other keyboards. You will see dust on the glossy rims. Not a big deal for me. Typing is great on this keyboard. I cannot compare to other similar products of its class. It is indeed quite; more so than I had expected. I imagine the tactile pro would be nicer to type on; but from my research it seems that it is significantly louder than this one. The sound on this one is a thud that has some gravity to it. I personally like it. The FN keys are placed well, and many functions are more accessible this way. The USB slots are useful; the connectors holds well. I'm giving a four now, and in due time, if the product holds well in a year or so, I'll reconsider another star.

Upon receipt of this eagerly awaited product, many of the keys stuck, and continued sticking. I wasn't able to type properly with keyboard. When I contacted the company, they suggested using a credit card to loosen the problematic keys. This worked temporarily but didn't fix the underlying issue; the keys then restuck. Ultimately this keyboard is annoying to use and requires extra effort to 'clean up' keyboard-induced errors.
