Easy installation. It works as it should.

I hesitated a lot before buying this chip. There are no reviews that mention this would work on the Asus P10S WS motherboard. There are several reporting successes with Z170. Although these motherboards came to market around the same time (2015-2016 I think), they have quite different chipsets, so I wasn't sure. But I went ahead, and it worked flawlessly. It was as simple as a few steps. (1) open up the computer case, find the TPM receptor, and plug this chip in; (2) in the restart, press F2 before the computer boots to enter into BIOS, go to "Advanced" and enable the chip under 'Advanced Computing". That's it. If you have a qualified CPU, your computer will be ready for Windows 11. However, even if you don't have a qualified CPU, it is easy to bypass it. Search YouTube for "installing Windows 11 on unsupported hardware". There are multiple methods. Not every method works on every system. In my case of Asus P10s WS with i7-6700K, several simpler methods wasted a lot of time but didn't work. In each case, it seemed to work part of the way, but automatically terminated at the final step of the Windows setup, with no error message. It simply quit. But I did find a method that worked (unfortunately, Amazon does not allow post YouTube link). By the way, there is no downside in bypassing the CPU requirement. If your CPU is disqualified, all you suffer is that your Windows 11 won't have certain quite minor features that require a qualified CPU. But that's not a downside, because you don't have those under Windows 10 anyway. However, TPM 1.2 seems required for Windows 11 no matter what. You can bypass TPM 2.0, but not TPM 1.2. I'm not sure how safe it is to bypass TPM 2.0 and install Windows 11 on TPM 1.2. But with this chip, you do have TPM 2.0, and no worries about this issue at all.
