OPEN BOX - Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 2000 GB PCI Express 3.0 V-NAND NVMe Solid State Drive

I have been using it in my laptop for the past 4-5 months and it's working good. I am getting faster speeds, my games load faster and overall experience is good. Though 2tb was overkill at first but given the update sizes of the games it's worth it. It also comes with the Samsung magician software that tracks ssd's stats and gives great insights about the work ssd is doing, it's temperatures and other useful information.

I can't really compare this SSD to others, as the only appealing point for me was the price to TB ratio at the time of the sale I have bought it. It's faster than any SSD I had before, as those were none-NVMe/M.2 but SATA connected. Previous Samsung drives kept up really well over time, so hoping this will too.

Mac wanted too much ($200 more for 500gb to 1TB) money for more Hard Drive space. I took a gamble buying the Qwiizlab Hub for my mac mini m2. Many people expressed issues specifically with the data transfer rates or the drive dropping connection. My recommendation here is use this drive as extra space. The mac OSX still operates off the stock internal drive and this was very easy to physically install in the hub. Upon boot into the OSX it said it couldn't communicate w/the drive but still showed it connected. This was simply because the partition on the drive out of the box is for a PC. So I opened the mac disk utility and erased the partition and then selected MAC OS extended (Journaled) partition type. Works extremely well and worth every penny for 2TB of space. Copied a 700mb video to the new drive in less than a half a second. I will benchmark it later and see what it's capable of but this is a far better solution than even an external standalone drive w/my setup. Still has space for an additional SATA drive. Very pleased.

The product itself, zero issues. The drives I purchased were from the Amazon Warehouse, so they were returned items but supposed to be in good used condition with original boxes etc I ordered 10, probably half of them came inside of a plastic bag the others in various boxes including a couple OEM boxes, installed the drives into laptops and 2 of the 10 were bad would crash fairly constantly. A couple of the other drives after running the samsung testing software, they had been WELL used with many TB of data written to them, but a handful were basically new hardly any data wrote to them, fairly recent production date on them So, if you're looking for the warehouse deals... be a bit weary. You can always return if they fail which is why I'll still give this 5 stars it's nothing against the product itself, but be careful of the sweet sweet deal you may end up wasting alot of time for a drive that doesn't work or is very well used.

Can’t bear Samsung ssds, got them on sale bought 2, glad I did, will probably buy another 1 or 2
