The way these are built the LED part only mounts on one side of the power cable. So to have the LED facing out - you have to come to the graphics card from the top of the case (or at least above the graphics card and come in from the front). Like most ATX cases my power supply is on the bottom at the back. To run this from the top means to route the power cables to the back, up to the top and back out just to run the power back down to the graphics card. I guess this gives the best view and biggest viewing capability. But I don't want to route it that way. I have expensive RGB memory I don't need more light in that area. But at the bottom of the case, no fans (not rgb anyway) so some light down there is called for. If these were made with the cable guides being reversible or have the LED guides on both sides they would be awesome for any system. I cannot speak to the quality of the LED lighting as I never plugged them in. Oh, I almost forgot - the connector on the LEDs looks like a 3 pin fan power connector rather that a 3pin 5v RGB, or maybe even a Gigabyte VDG 3pin - would not have plugged directly to my motherboard (ASUS Gaming X570-Plus (WIFI)). Probably plugs right into the controller that comes with the 24pin.

First of all, don't buy this for more than $40. That's retail price. Second, if you're PCMR RGB Gang, you know you need this. The problem is if you use an ASUS board with Aura, ARGB ports are only controllable with Aura Sync or Armory Crate. Thus, if you use Razer Synapse, Corsair iCue, etc... you'll have to use 2 programs to set it up the way you like. The problem is iCue natively has support for my motherboard from Asus the X570 E-Gaming. The problem is that it only controls regular 12V RGB ports but not the 5V ARGB ports. What a bummer. Who would have thought that older Gen 1 RGB tech would render an easier software setup and life. I'm sure as Corsair iCue Version 4+ continues to be developed, they will add support for ARGB ports on Asus boards. But as of March 2021... you have to wait. So in order to match everything, you're stuck to Single Colors, Rainbows or Temperatures. Everything else in-between light Rain, Lightning will have to wait :(

Installation was a bit tricky. Good thing they included a link to a video that shows you what to do.

I love how this looks on my pc. It is a great addition to make it pop. They are both easy to install. It is basically an add on where you attach the Lian li 24/8pin to your previous 24/8pin cord, so you don't have to take your psu out (since it is too short). I have a 6pin gpu and it works. The 24 pin was easy to curve to my liking. However, the 8pin took longer to bend and put together because I had to take out the clear holders and flip it around so the rgb wires can attach to it. Be gentle with it to avoid it pulling out, but if you do, you can just unscrew it and put it back on. They provide you with a black rectangular chip that helps you organize the wires. For the 8pin, I tried it both ways where the clear end would be at the top that connects to my gpu and I personally like the black strip end where it says Lian Li on top better because that is where the rgb flows out of and the colors would be more vibrant. Some people do put the clear end on top, but it's up to your preference. If I had known that Lian Li came out with their Strimer plus, I would have bought that instead. They improved on their wires on that one. Overall, it looks really nice (:
