The MSI Pro x670-P WiFi motherboard works phenomenally to run my gaming PC. Having the ability to use WiFi when initially setting up or for rooms without wired internet is invaluable. The manual is detailed and was very useful to me when I was setting up my 2.1 audio pc speakers as well as the headers inside the PC case. There are also plenty of USB slots for people like me who use many accessories with their PC, which can save time and money on getting a separate USB hub. On that note, the data transfer speeds on the USB headers are great and allow me to back up my multi terabyte hard drives in just an hour or two. HOWEVER: I did have to return the initial product I received due to a persistent and unfixable "USB overcurrent" error when tying to boot the PC for the first time. Confirmed that it was an issue with the motherboard after exhaustive troubleshooting. I was able to get that one returned and swapped out for a new one through Amazon, which then worked like a charm.

It was quite daunting to spend so much on a motherboard, but now that I've added it to my system, I'm happy to have bought it. Things I like about it: - Beautiful design - High-quality materials - Four M.2 Slots - All M.2 Slots have heat sinks - 90° SATA connectors - Helpful Error Code Display - Reset BIOS button on the IO - Excellent Connectivity - Very high bandwidth due to X670E chipset - PCIe slots are lower, so you can still reach things, even if using an air cooler What I would like to be different: - More 90° connectors on the right edge, especially ATX power - Price is pretty high

The MSI MPG X670E Carbon WiFi Motherboard was a genuine product. I assembled a new computer and it works excellently.

I have been building my own computers for 30 years and the current state of the DIY PC hobby is wild. The prices at the high-end are criminal. The prices in the midrange are shameful and the QC seems to be more like 1993 than 2023...which is to say, a lot of "hope for the best, prepare for the worse". Spent far too many hours and ultimately unrelated dollars trying to resolve what ultimately turned out to be a DOA PCIex16 slot failure on a Gigabyte Aorus X670 Elite AX. Decided to try MSI's X670E for a few more bucks and so far, so good. Like every motherboard out there now, be ready with a USB stick and the latest BIOS before even bothering to start your build. You'll thank yourself later. On the latest BIOS with all the latest drivers, this new machine is rock solid, runs cool and - knock wood - everything works.

Had mixed results with this motherboard. Picked this one as it is a rather feature-laden board and good build quality. No clearance issues between the VRM heatsink and top mounted AIO cooler (inside a Corsair 4000D). LED code readout is a nice feature. Built using an AMD 7800X3D CPU, G. SKill DDR5 32GB 6000MT/s RAM, RTX 4090 and an EVGA G6 1000W PSU. Operating system was Windows 10 Pro. I received a "00" error code immediately upon first boot and failed to POST. After few attempts and removing RAM sticks, it eventually POSTed and loaded BIOS. I would constantly get failures to POST, along with it hanging on restarts or shutdowns. The board was flashed with the most recent bios version at the time. Swapping RAM slots did not remedy the issue, nor did swapping RAM modules. With EXPO enabled, Windows would crash upon log in consistently. Eventually bios updates would fix the issues but later returned with windows updates. Subsequent bios seemed to have potentially fixed my issues but have since uninstalled the board and swapped to a different brand. I have had no such issues on the different board. The MSI board is seemingly good quality and has nice features. It functioned as expected when it did work but had too many frequent stability issues that came and went with bios and Windows updates. This does not speak to MSI's customer service. I never RMA'd the board, so it's possible they would have made it right or not. I chose to switch to another board that worked and take a loss on this one.
