OPEN BOX - MSI PRO Z790-P WiFi DDR4 ProSeries Motherboard (Supports 12th/13th Gen Intel Processors, LGA 1700, DDR4, PCIe 5.0, M.2, 2.5Gbps LAN, USB 3.2 Gen2, Wi-Fi 6E, ATX)

After having ordered 2 faulty expensive motherboards in a row, I decided to buy this one. It was about half the price of the other two and it works great. I am currently using this MOBO on a small home server and it works beautifully with the i7-13700K. I have had absolutely no issues with the board, and so far it has been 100% reliable even when running constantly for months at a time.

I purchased this in 2023 and it came with the latest BIOS update preinstalled, the required to support 13th gen chips. I had the USB drive ready to go and everything but was happy to see it was already there. This is my first MSI board and I don't really have any complaints. I/O has been nice and snappy, BOIS relatively easy to use. I have yet to have anything I plug into it go unrecognized. Docked one star as the front I/O jumpers are not labeled on the board so you have to use the manual. All my RGB is run through a secondary non MSI controller so I can't speak to their software there but the MSI control center is both optional and very lite when compared to all others I have used. It's also not a forced install, yay! Another 2023 specific, I stuck with DDR4 and am not regretting it at all with an i7 13th gen and a 4070, 2k gaming. I am not seeing any issues that would be typical of memory slowing down CPU/GPU exchanges.

Has been functioning well now for many months for my Ubuntu machine learning workstation. This machine runs at a high load for long continuous periods and has been rock solid. Good features at a reasonable price. Installed with an i5-13400, Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB (2x 32GB) DDR4 3200(PC4-25600) C16 1.35V, RTX 6000 Ada GPU, and MSI MPG A1000G PCIE 5 power supply.

This motherboard has been great for me functionality wise. I regret not getting DDR5, but it was my first build so you live and learn. Other than the performance benefits this mobo offers like XMP and OC capability, the interface MSI built is super easy to use. If you're a beginner, the EZ mode makes booting super simple, but if you want to test out your CPU/GPU limits with OC, you can go in advanced mode and do as your heart desires. I also love all of the ports and slots this mobo has, as it can support all of my peripherals, seemingly unlimited RAM, and enough SSD/HDD storage for a warehouse! Get this MOBO if you're building your first PC or your 100th!
