I'm more then happy to give the Crucial X8 1TB Portable SSD a perfect rating! This storage device not only have a very good storage capacity at a reasonable price but has proven to be exceptionally reliable. It also work with Android phones and iOS phones. Despite me unplugging it without using the eject drive button multiple times due to my lack of attention / focused too much of what I'm making, the Crucial X8 has never given me any issues. To ensure its true storage capacity, I conducted a thorough test using specialized software, and the results were flawless : a perfect 1TB, exactly as advertised unlike other company drive that I once owned that were disguising their drive as a 1To drive but were in reality a 16Gb drive and got my files corrupted. This level of honesty and reliability sets the Crucial X8 apart from other drives on the market. You can definitely rest assured that you won't encounter any surprises or deceit with this product. If you're in need of a trustworthy portable SSD, the Crucial X8 is an excellent choice. A well-deserved 5/5 for delivering on its promises!

I bought it to store numerous high res photos and the capacity is amazing. Connects in seconds and file transfer is quite fast. No problematic all re compatibility with my Dell laptop or home computer. Well worth the cost.

great brand, reliable product. i own a couple x8s and an x6, and recently bought one of these for my best friend to back up her files. i am no expert but have a modest understanding of external storage, i would say very good read/write speeds (usually moving files 40-50 gigs or less at a time), gets a little warm when plugged in for long periods/transferring but not to the extent where it makes me uncomfortable (and it's expected frankly for how fast it operates). have not had any issues yet, they are all product of thailand. very impressive. fair warning, the x6s do not come with the usb-a adapter like the x8s do. if you do not have enough usb c ports or any at all, they sell the adapters separate.

At 2Tb, the Crucial solid-state drive (SSD )is thin, small, and symmetrical. The first one we purchased had a non-working USB-C cable, however we were able to exchange it for another one at no cost to us, and no refund-then-repurchase runaround. It is not the fastest advertised speed out there (search Sandisk Extreme) but compared to the old hard-disk drives (HDDs) that we have been using, this is fast enough, and we barely have the hardware to take advantage of its maximum speeds. This capacity meant that photos and videos taking up storage on our cell phones could be backed up, with plenty of room for games, music, and videos. Note that 2Tb isn't a lot of room for 4K video editing or anything like that; for daily household and school uses this is plenty. The plug is USB-C, so your tv must have that type of plug (or you buy a USB-A adapter separately), and your tv can read 2Tb hard drives (most have capacity limits) if you want to plug that into a tv. For a monitor you will need a computer to read its contents as well as a USB-C cable, or an adapter. My worry is that because it's so small and it's the colour black, one of these days I will drop it, it bounces on the floor, and lose it. I suppose I could put a bright sticker on it but I don't know how that will affect its heat dissipation. So far it's safe, being treated well and I haven't travelled with it much. Once the child gets older they will get one of these as well; at their age they will most likely lose it (heck, I might lose it, it is THAT small). Great purchase.

It's little, easy to carry, and fast SSD. Smaller than my mouse and as little as a credit card but so capable. - It comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable and USB-C to USB-A converter. - Seems durable and solid. - Fast enough to transfer big files. It has an average of 500mb/s of writing speed, depending on the situation and the file type, and can go up to around 1000mb/s which is fast enough for most cases. - Comes with 3 years of warranty. Got it during the black friday and highly recommended!
