Usb-C port works intermittently. Cuts in and out when it wants. USB-A ports are slow and only works sometimes. Otherwise everything else is good so far.

The Asus Prime Plus Z790m mATX DDR5 version is a great motherboard. I paired it with an i7 14700K and a 32GB (2x16GB) kit of G.Skill ram. 7,200MHz CL34 DDR5 ram. (Trident Z5 RGB). I kept having issues with DIMM A2 not showing the proper timings when using MemTest86. It read 8-4-4-28 which it is [****]. Even with XMP disabled. DIMM B2, zero issues. 7,200MHz XMP worked on B2, but not A2. Odd... The ram is fine. I replaced the CPU, not the issue. MemTest86 fails only on A2 slot if XMP is enabled. Even if you set the ram to 1.41 volts. It is just unstable. A2 slot only runs stable at 6,800MHz. It was the only time MemTest86 never failed A2 slot with XMP enabled. I'm running my DRAM Timings at [****]. I hope this helps anyone who runs into the same issue.

As always ASUS has produced another winner with the ASUS Prime Z790M-Plus LGA 1700 microATX motherboard. I set this up with an Intel Core i7-14700K processor and CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 96GB (2x48GB) with two slots still open to double the memory in the future if needed. Using a Samsung 990 PRO M.2 2000 GB PCI Express 4.0 V-NAND MLC NVMe as the main drive and a PNY Quadro RTX A4000 16GB GPU. For power a Corsair RMX Series (2021), RM750x, 750 Watt, Gold, Fully Modular Power Supply. Cooling the i7 with a Noctua NH-U12A, Premium CPU Cooler with High-Performance Quiet NF-A12x25 PWM Fans (120mm, Brown) for Desktop. Also installed an ASUS - Motherboards TPM 2.0 SPI Module to be fully compatible with Windows 11. Been building systems for over 35 years and have never had a failure with ASUS motherboards. Mostly used for CAD applications but would make for a great gamer as well. This new system rocks!
