Great fast router. We spent hours loading it as had other stuff so called tech support and 1st person my daughter couldn't understand him very thick accent which is fine.We all our from around the world but she tried so she asked very nicely to have her call switch to someone else. Hung up on. So again call I useless so she figured out and had to all loaded but had a question. She called again the guy said do this which deleted both the the routers!. She had enough after 6 hours. I called myself ask for manger but had to tell tier one person the entire deal as would not get higher up person to complain. She the guy said he is tier three so said he call back when the my daughter was available said he called but but NEVER returned the call!!!Support is not helpful in the least. So she wrote a email to corporation and well my set up is terrible now got to hired a tech to redo the two routers but the tier three guy couldn't believe she be told which basically reset everything to factory.. settings.. Unbelievable which she just did what was told Sounded like he did not believe or that the worker could be so dumb. So I locked into a year contract for vpn THAT WILL NOT WORK like it should and now pay more after buying two routers from ASUS LOOK for support help prior to the purchasing of routers as I out over 500.00 on two routers. The second one was even opened not sealed sent a note and never herd a word from the seller even. I not so impressed with ASUS at all and should have sent second router back as was open and bet that caused all the hassles perhaps. But prior to resetting their routers my speed sure improved with the model I am reviewing. But support is not worth the time at all why big companies hire untrain people for help will, never make sense to me. Your lasting relationship is over and I never buy another ASUS product. I brought a very expensive laptop too sure glad I did not break the seal and sent it back. HP is fine I said all calls recorded have a listen.

When on sale, this router is your best bang for buck. Highlighted features for me: - Wifi 6 (AX) - USB 3.0 - Media Server (game changer at home!) - Time Machine backups - Excellent reliability, I rarely if ever have to reboot this router (maybe once every 2 months, if that, and it's usually because of rogue devices) - Good signal range - Custom firmware for extra features Bonus: You can turn off the status lights and it becomes very stealth. I have 17+ devices at any given moment connected to it and I've never had connectivity or bandwidth issues. Highly recommended.

So I only use this as a router not a mesh system. It works great and has WPA3 security wifi 6 and all that jazz. Signal strength is amazing. Love the app companion it works great for changing settings on the fly without having to login through a browser. It has some security features that are sketchy for your privacy but some people might like it. As in it takes your browsing history, emails and what not and looks up if they match a database of other known threats. This is not enabled by default though so I just left it off. Overall happy and it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy.

Bought this router for my home, as the built-in router in our cable modem was starting to have a lot of issues with dropped connections and slow speeds. After installing this router, we're no longer experiencing any dropped connections, and the signal strength is considerably better than my old setup. No more lags or buffering when streaming either. Coverage is excellent all through the house. Although I have experience as a computer technician, I found the setup to be a breeze (very user friendly).

I don't even know where to begin. There is only ASUS Routers. Nothing else matters. I bought this for the parental controls features, and it's SICK AF. I mean, I have not only minimized the crap they see online (thanks to built-in OpenDNS option), but also internet turns off for bed time. I have been able to easily manage content and times on all mobile devices as well with ease. The crazy part is ALL new ASUS routers have the same software, ASUSWRT, which is found on most ASUS routers if not all, which makes life easy to stick to this brand. Not only that they have a custom firmware that's easy to use, Merlin that adds more features. I don't think there is anything out there that can come close to the features that ASUS has. Don't get me started on AI Mesh, that is just wonderful. Highly recommended.
