Works very well , no heating issues like the Kensington SD2500T Thunderbolt and USB-C Docking . Even my laptop has Thunderbolt port available; I prefer to use this USB 3.0 docking, this model is an excellent option.

...don't expect it to arrive and work straight out of the box. Although I'm in the UK and this is amazon.co.uk, it arrived with a bizarre foreign plug. It wasn't even a European plug which meant i had no adapters readily available. Fortunately the plug part of the charging lead was interchangeable with an old lenovo laptop charger so I was able to get going. Once drivers were installed it all seemed to work okay with the minimum of fuss. I can switch between my gaming and work laptop and everything just, works.

Like many I learned the M1 chip on the new MacBook Pro 13" only supports 1 monitor. To rectify this I found articles that solved this by using a docking station. Many of the reviews recommended the Kensington SD4900P. The price is high but offers many other features which I love. I have a 3 monitor setup and this solved my issues. Highly recommend if you want something that is high quality and works as expected. You could buy something less expensive (I did the first time) and find that it won't work for your setup (which is why I ended up returning my first option and then bought this). It works, built well, great quality....buy it now or try another brand but you'll end up right back here.
