After ordering a 6 foot extension that would not work no matter how I flipped the ends and wasting hours of time and days of waiting, this extension just worked without hooking up separate power! I have a USB hub that supports USB 3 and 1Gb ethernet hooked up to SCSI hard drives via USB C. I ordered a much cheaper extension with thousands of 5 star reviews. Nowhere on the Amazon page was there any information about having to rotate the female end to make it work. I found a tag on the cord when I opened the package. I never worked with my devices. After searching high and low on Amazon, I found this product via Google search by Tripplite. I ordered the cord without an AC adapter knowing I may have to order it if my setup didn't work. I plugged in the cable without supplemental AC power, powered on my laptop, heard the Windows device notification, and my SCSI drive fired up immediately. I transferred a 1gb mp4 file from my C drive to my SCSI and was getting over 200Mbps transfer speeds. That's the fastest throughput I can get on any of my devices, so I'm very pleased. If you value yourself and your time, this is cable you need. It's 16 FEET long!

Cable does not transmit video data. I ordered this cable to extend my Dock. I also purchase the associated power supply. It does transmit data as the peripherals function, however Audio/Video to the multiple monitors are not transmitted nor is power to the laptop. I even called Tripp Lite ahead of time and spoke with them to confirm that the cord would transmit AV, which the rep assured me it would. It does not. Will return.

I was attempting to set up a link cable for my oculus quest 2 from my pc to the middle of my room. I needed just under 30 feet so I purchased two and some other cables (I did research before hand and only needed one but wanted to be safe). First issue was that it did not come with a power supply, which I knew at the time, yet they fail to describe what TYPE of power supply, the voltage of the power supply, or the size of the connection needed. I have ordered multiple plugs and none of them fit. My job had a power supply that fit so I borrowed theirs. After I power it up and test the connection, I don't get anything, no power to the oculus nor any data flow. I go through and test all the other connections and the only one that doesn't work is the extender, and neither of them work. I spend over $50 on these thing and they are not up to expectation, nor does it seem like they extend anything other than my disappointment. Would not reccomend

Works for charging and playing on the Quest 2. I added another 9 feet of usb c to this and it works perfectly.

Works for extending only the usb 3 on a Samsung hmd odyssey+ vr headset, will not work for the hdmi. I've only gotten this to extend adding a usbc to usb3/hdmi but only the USB will work, and adding a equally long hdmi with 4kx2k support to work.. Currently have this 15ft extension and a extra vr extention. To a total of 20ft for usb3 and 10ft for the hdmi. I will try to add update when I get a second one of these connecters to make my usb extended to 30ft, and once I get a 50ft hdmi cable to make a long extended vr setup with pc in alt room making it less hot in the room using the vr.
