The controller works perfectly on my 7 total NZXT RGB Fans. I initially had an issue with the CAM software recognizing the NZXT Controller. After following all the trouble shooting steps of uninstalling and reinstalling the CAM software, shutting down the system and checking all the connections, which didn't work. I finally just turned the computer off, pulled the power plug from the rear and unplugged the USB2 cable that comes from the controller to the motherboard. I waited about 10 minutes and plugged the USB2 connector in on the motherboard and plugged power cord back in. I powered the computer back up and entered the CAM software and clicked on the lighting tab. I noticed that it now showed the NZXT Controller V2 present, it automatically updated the firmware and showed the RGB2 Fans. I was then able to set the lighting options and fan speeds.

I needed this to get my rgb fans to work and it worked great. It’s also magnetic so no screws required.

To be honest, you need more of these hubs to connect 7 nzxt fans. I liked that the hub is magnetic.

As you can see in the picture, plugging this in fried my controller and fried my USB header I tried to take a picture of the main chip on the controller to show that it looks like the solder job was bad because 2 pins were shorted to each other. I was just waiting on the controller to hook up the RGB fans. Computer was working perfectly until I hooked this up. Turned the computer on and heard a pop. Started smelling an electrical smell coming from the controller. So decided to open it up since all companies blame other components for their failure and I knew I wasn't getting another one. Just be careful buying this product. Seems like most people haven't had a single problem which is why I went with nzxt. But unfortunately I did and it ruined more than just the one product I bought from them.
